The Micaren Ama Glug Filling Station
The Micaren Ama Glug filling station is the smallest and most cost-effective one in the Micaren franchise family, making it promising and financially viable to establish within rural, traditionally black areas. Our intention is to further expand across sub-Saharan Africa and cement our footprint in servicing local communities.
Ownership of this Ama Glug-type filling station belongs to the Micaren group, which is responsible for the construction of a basic filling station that includes standard filling station equipment such as petrol pumps, a small convenience shop and facilities.
The franchise is a turnkey operation. An upfront fee, as well as working capital, is needed by the franchisee. The upfront fee is used for equipment for the fast-food takeaways, e.g. grillers, fryers, freezers, chillers, pie-warmers, stainless steel tables, cutlery, etc., as well as office equipment such as point of sale (POS) systems, computers, closed circuit cameras, counters, etc. The working capital is required to buy wet stock for the forecourt and dry stock for the convenience store.
